A respectable citizen goes on a crusade to kick all the bums out of town: "Tonight, I'm going to lecture on one of the greatest evils of our time! The terror and crime that can be directly attributed to THE BEGGARS AND BUMS THAT INFEST OUR FAIR CITY!" His campaign is a success and soon the cops are booting bums, hoboes, drifters and tramps out of town (presumably with a one-way bus ticket to Frisco). One day a squeegee guy wipes the crusader's windshield while he's waiting for a stoplight, and the outraged crusader knocks the bum's block off: "That'll teach you to bother honest citizens! You're all vermin! You should be wiped out!" While's he's busy flapping his yap in the middle of the road, he gets clobbered by a car. His hospital bill wipes him out financially, and sure enough, the crusader ends up a lowdown scurvy bum rattling his cup at passersby: "Hey, pardon me, buddy... C'N YA SPARE A DIME?" A limited edition of ten hardcover catalogues is available, in addition to a few dozen softcovers. Fun reference, great keepsake, fully illustrated, chockablock with obscure facts, gags, bon mots.
