This theatrical almanac "for the year 1786" contains the first publication of any of the separate numbers from Die Entführung aus dem Serail, contemporary with the complete vocal score by Schott of Mainz. The Bodleian Library dates its copy "1785?", whereas Haberkamp (p.178) dates the vocal score to "1785/86". Of added interest are the two arias by Giovanni Paisiello and Giuseppe Sarti, which Mozart heard and used in the Variations K.398 and K.460. Sarti's aria, from Fra i due litiganti, is immortalized in the final supper scene of Don Giovanni, played by the on-stage wind band and pointed out by Leporello. This almanac also records monthly lists of plays performed in Vienna up to mid-December 1785, singers and members of the orchestra at the Hofoper ("k.k. Nationaltheater / Kapellmeister Herr Anton Salieri"), and biographies of actors, together with the following titles: p.1.
