EARLY NINETEENTH-CENTURY GERMAN MANUSCRIPT OF "SEHNSUCHT NACH DEM FRÜHLING" K.596 ("KOMM, LIEBER MAI") together with 45 songs, duets and part-songs by Reichardt, Naumann, Johann André, B.A. Weber, Zachariae, J.H. Rolle, A. Harder, Hurka and others, written in black ink on up to six staves per page, the first 30 pieces in two early hands, with later additions (C.M. v. Weber, "Singet dem Gesang zu Ehren" [J.228], Conradin Kreutzer and others), c.1800-1820, with later nineteenth-century additions, 92 pages (including contemporary 2-page index), oblong 4to (c.15.5 x 19.5cms), wreath and stag's head watermarks, later watercolour vignette of a guitar and music on front free endpaper, contemporary patterned boards, gilt border and blue-gilt label to cover ("Musicalien für's Piano-Forte"), a few worm-holes near the end of the manuscript, joints worn
