Moses Malone 1974 Utah Stars Rookie Warm-Up Jacket One of the game's all-time great centers, Moses Malone was a relentless rebounder and effective scorer who made the jump from high school to a pro career that lasted 21 years. The third-leading rebounder and sixth-leading scorer in combined NBA/ABA history, he was honored in 1996-97 as a member of the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. At the age of 19, when he was a lean and lanky 6-10 man-child, Malone had no trouble making the jump from Petersburg (Va.) High School to the Utah Stars of the ABA. This 1974-75 Utah Stars home rookie warm up jacket was worn by Moses Malone in his first year with the NBA. In the collar of the jacket is the "Sand-Knit" label. On the inside bottom of the jacket is the "Sand-Knit" label which includes the size "44." On the left front of the jacket is the name "Utah" and on the right front is the name "Stars." The screened on letters are red on a white and blue backing. On the back of the jacket is a white nameplate with the name "Malone" in red tackle twill letters. The nameplate has been attached to the jacket with velcro and the letters have been sewn onto the nameplate. Below this is the screened on "Utah Stars" emblem.
