The pencil drawings are “The Lion” on the dedicatory leaf and “The Unicorn” on the colophon. Full page ink drawings based on illustrations from the book are “The Red Queen,” “The White Queen” and “Humpty Dumpty.” A separate cloth folder contains a complete set of the engravings, each initialed by the artist. The text includes the once suppressed “The Wasp in a Wig.
