Sir Albertus Morton (c.1584-1625), secretary to Sir Henry Wotton, ambassador to Venice and later Turin in the early 17th century. Wotton was Morton's father's half-brother. In the letter Morton asks an identified noble for an audience for two seemingly exiled authors
