Hippolyte Francois Moreau (1832-1927) - A large 19th Century French bronze figural group statue depicting Venus and Cupid. The figurine depicts a classical woman seated on tree trunk with fine detailing to face and hair, a winged putti standing in front holding a nautilus shell to her mouth so she can drink. The base cast with naturalistic details and raised on a repeating helix border. Signed H. Moreau to reverse. Measures approx; 55cm tall.
