Warrant, Dona Ana County, New Mexico Terr. For arrest of Refugio Silva for murder. Warrant dated 17 Nov. 1898. The Sheriff of Dona Ana County was Pat Garrett. It appears that he did not locate Mr. Silva. Manuscript receipt, 1p, penal bill for Augustine Hire, 11 Nov. 1793. Promise to pay a fine and penalty. Four small receipts from Frederick County, VA, for Land and Lot taxes for John S. Miller, one from Autumn 1860 and three from Spring 1861. Virginia did not secede until approved by a vote of the people on May 23, 1861, so these would have been right before she joined the Confederacy. Two-part receipt, one for the sale of 138 barrels of rosin to Mssrs. Abraham Bell & Co. Second slip is a shipping receipt for 7 barrels on the steamer Liverpool. Warrant for the arrest of James Craig Rockingham Co., VA, to appear in court the 3rd Tuesday of the following month. Dated 11 August 1817. Docketed on verso. Docketing more extensive than the warrant. This case appears to have continued for years. State of Tennessee, Maury County. Command the sheriff to take goods and chattels, etc. of James A. Thompson & G. R. Osborn to the sum of $177.91. Dated 3 Dec. 1840. Signed Jos. Herndon, JP (1771-1863). Summons for P.S. Roller to appear before the JP, Rockingham Co., VA. 15 Feb. 1855.
