MORDEN, Robert (fl.1668-1703). Geography Rectified: or, a Description of the World , London: R.R. for R. Morden and T. Cockerill, 1700. 4° (201 x 150mm). Title printed in red and black, 78 engraved maps in the text, the map of Moldavia on p.95 pasted over a map of the Maldive Islands, the map of the Canaries printed upside-down, with the initial contents leaf and the final advertisement leaf (first 3 leaves nearly detached, margins at the front frayed and the fore-margins inkstained, rust-hole in U3, hole in 3K1 and flaw in 3X1, all with slight loss of text or headline, some browning, soiling and staining). Contemporary blindstamped panelled calf (worn, front cover becoming loose). Provenance : I. Bentley (book-label). Fourth edition. Wing M2622A (6 copies only).
