First Edition. Inscribed by Harris to Lord Alfred Douglas at the half-title: "To Bosie Douglas - Poet, critic, friend - from Frank Harris in affectionate sympathy. Nov. [?] 1900." Frank Harris was a British editor, novelist, short story writer, journalist and publisher, who was friendly with many well-known figures of his day, remembered mainly for his multiple-volume memoir, My Life and Loves, which was banned in numerous countries for its sexual explicitness. Lord Alfred Bruce Douglas nicknamed Bosie, was a British author, poet, translator, and political commentator, best known as the friend and lover of Oscar Wilde. Lot Amendments Condition: Some wear to cloth with sunning to spine; foxing to endpapers and scattered light foxing throughout; very good. Item number: 283631
