Alternating bands of precious red resin and gleaming mother-of-pearl are set in a framework of 18 karat white gold. Mother-of-pearl bands are inscribed with 13 signatures of selected representatives, one for each of the original colonies. The 13 stars encircling the cap and barrel are symbolic of the republic's first flag. This extraordinary masterpiece is finished with two rings studded with brilliant-cut diamonds. Medium platinum-plated 18K gold nib engraved with a portrait of Thomas Jefferson the spiritual father of the Declaration of Independence. One of the greatest limited edition pens ever made.
