Contemporary wrappers, stitched as issued, uncut (head and tail of spine chipped, with slight loss of tail, a few small holes in spine). Provenance : "Given to me by Charles Forbes Esqre. M.P. April 22 1817 -- J. Radcliffe" (inscription on upper margin of title). Charles Forbes was a merchant in Bombay and a politician. FIRST EDITION. Money argued for the expansion of the Bombay shipbuilding yards. He also favoured the use of Indian teak for shipbuilding instead of British oak. Kress B.5872.
