.45 ACP, 5" barrel, S/N 378109 (mfg. ca 1918). Blued finish, double-diamond checkered wood grips. Right side of slide roll marked "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY." Left side of frame marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Left side of slide roll marked with two-line patent information: "PATENTED APR 20, 1897 SEPT. 9, 1902 / DEC. 19, 1905 FEB. 14, 1911 AUG. 19, 1913" followed by the Rampant Colt logo and the additional two-line roll mark: "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. USA." A weak "{EAGLE HEAD} / S5" inspection is present on the left side of the frame, behind the trigger and above the magazine release button. Barrel marked with a weak P on the hood, an upside-down "3" on the left side of the link lug and a "5" in front of the link lug. Rear of slide with an "H" above the firing pin and a "2" under the firing pin stop plate. Flat mainspring housing, long trigger. No magazine present. Condition: Very good as refinished. Retains most of the added blue with markings mostly legible and clear. Mechanically functional, bore moderately frosted with good rifling. Grips with moderate wear and some flattening to the checkering.
