.45 caliber, 29.5" round barrel, S/N 160605*. Has a five-pointed star preceding the serial number. Barrel has large V P and eagle P barrel proof marks. Also has an early 1873 dated lockplate with early coarse hammer. Walnut stock with two barrel bands; the front is a stacking swivel. Condition: Receiver and barrel are a nice plum brown and smooth with sharp and crisp markings. Breechblock has a mottled brown look. Lock and hammer are very good with some blue mixing with patina. Stock is good, the comb has been ground to a point. This was done by Bannerman.
