Full-length walnut stock with faint cartouches on the reverse, iron furniture including flat barrel bands and ramrod. Complete with a Model 1855 socket bayonet with an 18" blade in bright finish and leather scabbard maker marked on the riveted belt loop. 1861 dated Model 1861 rifles are seldom encountered, especially a well preserved specimen such as this. Condition: Very good. Very light age toning on the metal and little wear on the stock.
