.54 caliber, 33" octagonal-to-round barrel, S/N 2885. With "P" and eagle and U.S. in ovals. Lockplate marked Harpers Ferry and dated 1806 in the rear; eagle between hammer and pan. Brass furniture with walnut stock. Original steel ramrod. Condition: Barrel has been re-browned in the last 50 years, a very good job. All lines are sharp and crisp. Lockplate has untouched grey patina with very sharp markings, the eagle and the shield is very sharp and crisp. All lock parts are very sharp and crisp. Brass with untouched patina. Stock is excellent with very sharp lines and a mint cartouche Oval with "V" and "I P." Bore is mint. Overall this is a very exceptional Harpers Ferry rifle model of 1803.
