Missfeldt, in Kiel geboren, tätig in Berlin, war Schüler von P. Schnorr, Janentsch, Herter und Breuer. Zu seinen Hauptwerken gehören u.a. der Fritz-Reuter-Brunnen in Berlin-Neukölln und das Kaiser-Friedrich-Denkmal in Schenefeld (Holstein). Sein Oeuvre umfasst vornehmlich Krieger- und Kaiserdenkmäler. - Der Abschied ist in der Tradition klassizistischer Skulpturen verankert.

Schnorr, Janentsch, Herter and Breuer. Among his major works are the Fritz-Reuter-Fountain in Berlin-Neukölln and the Kaiser-Friedrich-Monument in Schenefeld (Holstein).
