Three folio volumes, illustrated with thirty-two finely hand-colored mezzotints, viz., three portraits of Milton at different ages, one folding mezzotint of Milton and his two daughters after Romney, the balance of images engraved after Richard Westall (1765-1836) illustrating the works of the poet; all with expert contemporary hand-coloring; half-titles present in all volumes; bound in uniform contemporary straight-grained russet morocco, tooled ornately in blind and gilt, a.e.g., very good; repaired tear to page 103/104, volume II, otherwise very good internally, 12 x 9 3/4 in.
