Battle-fields of Five Forks, Jetersville & Sailor's Creek, Highbridge, Farmville & Appomattox Court-House. Washington: War Department, Office of the Chief of Engineers, 1869. Begun during the last year of the war, many of these maps were rescaled for inclusion in the Atlas that accompanied the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies published in the 1890s. Maps present include: The Wilderness Spotsylvania Court House North Anna Totopotomoy Cold Harbor Jetersville & Sailor's Creek Appomattox Court House Bermuda Hundred Antietam Fredericksburg Chancellorville Harper's Ferry [sic] Plus the tipped in map titled Map Showing Route of Marches of the Army of Genl. W.T. Sherman from Atlanta, GA to Goldsboro, NC. This bound set of maps previously belonged to the late James Ashby Armistead, a private collector and direct descendent of Confederate brigadier general Lewis Armistead. Condition: None of the maps are torn or wrinkled. There is minimal water staining in a few small spots. Overall, this is in very fine to excellent condition.
