A fine cased pair of flintlock saw-handled duelling pistols by William Parker, 233 High Holborn, London circa 1815, the 25.5cm octagonal barrel engraved 'W. Parker Holborn London', gold line inlay near the foliate engraved tang and gilded sight, side lock signed 'W. Parker', push safety catch, three quarter walnut stock with chequered grip inset with oval silver plaque bearing the same initials as the case, long spurred trigger guard with ramrod, 41cm long overall, in mahogany box, the lid inset with a circular brass name plate engraved with initials and recessed handle, the hinged lid enclosing green baize, gunsmiths trade label to inner lid, and various accessories including a copper and brass pistol flask 12cm long, turn screw and bullet mould, one with replacement ramrod William Parker (1790-1841), produced guns at 233 High Holborn from 1793-1839, Parker was Gunmaker to the Duke of Kent, Prince Edward and King William IV.
