Provenance : Edward Heron-Allen (bookplates and stamps). A VERY SCARCE COMPLETE RUN OF THE MICROSCOPICAL SOCIETY'S FIRST THREE PUBLICATIONS. Heron-Allen evidently had trouble assembling this run; his conventional armorial bookplates, together with the name of his first wife Mariana, dated 1891 adorn four of the later vols, while a similarly orthodox bookplate, this time with second wife's name, Edith, and dated 1925 are in the first three vols. His esoteric bookplate dated 1900 is to be found in the main run of the Quarterly and Monthly . (36)
