First published in 1839 but scarce in all editions. Munson and Lyman were American Baptist missionaries to Sumatra, who, on a tour of observation and inquiry among the islands of the Indian Archipelago, were attacked by party of Battak cannibals and murdered; Mr. Munson being run through the body with a spear. Lot Amendments Condition: Ex-library from Washington and Jefferson College, with their stamp title page and half title, several other library markings; foxing; good. Item number: 234645
