Geneva, De Tournes brothers, 3 parts in 2 vol., 4to: front.-[10]-[4]-[8]-[8]-pp. (toned, occ. foxing and soiling, front. and title of vol. I with sm. losses). Contemp. mottled calf, gilt-orn. spines with raised bands and a label on vol. II, red edges (covers with large scratches, joints loosening, turn-ins with def., repaired in some places). Revised ed. (1st ed.: Geneva, of the collected medical works of the English physician Sydenham (1624-1689), a founder of epidemiology, nicknamed the "English Hippocrates" of his time. Title of vol. I printed in red and black. With 2 additional treatises by Musgrave (1655-1721), also in revised editions, each with its own title-page, as in the other Geneva editions by De Tournes. Ref.
