"This German expedition explored the heavily forested region between Lake Victoria and Lake Kivu. The first three chapters, penned by Capt. von Wiese und Kaiserswaldau, describe the journey from the Congo to the Shari River with attendant hunting after elephant. The Duke continued with his travels in the region of Lake Chad with sport after buffalo, antelope and rhinoceros.
