Jean Dunand (Swiss, 1877-1942) studied at the Geneva School of Industrial Arts and was elected to the Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts after completing an interior for the Comtess de Bearn. Dunand is considered the greatest lacquer artist of the Art Deco period.
