MASSACHUSETTS - CALEB STRONG'S COPY] Resolves of the General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Begun and held at Boston ... on Wednesday the twenty-eighth day of May, anno domini, 1788 . Boston: Adams and Nourse, 1788-89. First edition, with Strong's signature on the title page. 20th century cloth. 11 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches (30.5 x 20 cm); with general title, 125, 11 pp. Stamp and penciled dates to title, faint old stain to title, light spotting but generally very clean. This is a timely association as Strong, who had helped draft the Massachusetts State Constitution in 1779, was at the time of this printing a delegate to the Philadelphia Convention that drafted the U.S. Constitution in 1787. Strong would later serve in the state's senate and as its governor. Evans 21247 (p. 1-39); 21248 (p. 39-70); 21951 (p. 71-125). C The New York City Bar Association
