Martin Sharp founded OZ magazine in Australia in 1963 and soon ran afoul of the censors, being arrested for obscenity. He moved to England where he became friendly with Eric Clapton. With his foot firmly in the door of the music world Sharp went on to design album covers, poster of musicians and started publishing a British version of OZ Magazine. Through his friendship with Eric Clapton, Martin Sharp not only designed posters and album covers for Cream, but also co-wrote the lyrics to one of their songs. High Art p. 141.
