Map of Wilshire & La Brea, Country Club Drive and Carthay Center Districts Los Angeles, and Motor Map of Southern California Author: Place: Los Angeles Publisher: Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles Date: 1930's Description: Map printed in black & red. 16x24.5 cm (6¼x9¾"), on sheet 21x35.5 cm (8¼x14"). Extremely rare separate map of the Wilshire area. Includes street index. Perspective map on verso: "Motor map of Southern California." This has a table of "automobile mileage from Los Angeles." Locations of Security-First National Bank branches shown on both maps. OCLC/WorldCat does not list any copies. The Wilshire area is one of the principal east-west arterial roads in greater Los Angeles, extending 16 miles from Ocean Avenue in the city of Santa Monica east to Grand Avenue in the Financial District of downtown Los Angeles. It is also one of the major city streets through the city of Beverly Hills. Wilshire Boulevard runs roughly parallel with Santa Monica Boulevard from Santa Monica to the west boundary of Beverly Hills. This is the earliest known map of one of the most famous and wealthy Los Angeles neighborhoods. Some areas are not yet developed. Lot Amendments Condition: Item number: 318514
