The copy of Francesco Maria Piccolomini (d. 1599), who served as Bishop of Montalcino and Bishop of Pienza under Pope Julius III and Pope Pius IV, respectively. 4to (218 x 151 mm). Greek, Roman and Hebrew type, 35 lines. collation: a-z8 &10 aa-bb8 [cc]4: 214 leaves. Woodcut Aldine device to title-page in red and on &10, printed in red and black. (aaa1 dampstained, intermittent light spotting and toning.) binding: Early yellow pasteboards (225 x 160 mm), large paper label at foot of spine with shelfmark, red edges.
