Manuzio, Aldo II. Eleganze, insieme con la copia, della lingua toscana e latina, scielte da Aldo Manutio. Venice: [Paolo Manuzio], 1558 The Leigh family library copy. The Leigh family of Adlestrop descended from Sir Thomas Leigh (1504–1571), a merchant and Lord Mayor of London during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. His descendants comprised several key members of the English aristocracy, including Jane Austen. Stoneleigh Abbey was used after 1839 by Chandos Leigh, 1st Baron Leigh (1791-1850), and by William Henry Leigh, 2nd Baron Leigh (1824-1905).

(Small repair to hole in title-page, lower margin of H7 repaired, O1-2 attached by adhesive at margin.) binding: Early nineteenth-century tan calf (146 x 100 mm), gilt fillets around sides, marbled endpapers and edges.
