MAGIC LANTERN SLIDES] Group of 19th century glass magic lantern slides , including sixteen loose examples (including one slipper slide and three rackwork slides), and a boxed set of sixteen panorama slides, probably American in origin. Condition varies, should be seen. An interesting collection of slides, largely hand-painted. The subjects are generally comical or phantasmagorical, but of especial interest are one of Charles Dickens in his study, and another from the "Gabriel Grub" series, based on a chapter in the Pickwick Papers.
