Manon annotates four lines in her hand at the base of a small autograph letter by her husband Jean Marie Roland de la Platiere, stating `Make this letter I am sending you pass, with some news, inserted in the letter of M. Roland´. To the upper part, Jean Marie Roland states in part ´..I send to you my wife´s response to your kind letter, I would be obliged if you…´ Slightly uneven left edge, otherwise G Jean Marie Roland de la Platiere (1734-1793) French inspector of manufactures who, largely influenced by his wife, became a leader of the Girondist. Appointed Minister of the interior in 1792 under King Louis XVI.
