New Frontier Single Action Army revolver manufactured by Colt in 1980. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT NEW FRONTIER S.A.A. 44-40", with Colt's single line address across the top. Left side of frame bears patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Metal components have been reblued, with the frame exhibiting jeweling beneath it's blue finish and the hammer being jeweled. Matching numbers are present on the frame, cylinder, and grip straps. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth wood grips. Revolver is accompanied by a custom wood case containing a Colt firearms belt buckle. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting areas of pitting beneath the finish. Colt address on barrel is partially illegible. Bore is bright and retains good rifling throughout. Grips shows some scattered handling marks, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable.
