So er in vielen Jahren, gegen gelarten Leuten, auch frembden Gesten, vnd seinen Tischgesellen gefuehret , Eisleben: [Urban Gaubisch, 8 October 1567]. 2° (317 x 192mm.), title in red and black and with a woodcut of Luther and Graf zu Mansfelt (the dedicatee) praying before the Crucifixion, large woodcut arms on recto of the following leaf, oval portrait of the printer on verso of penultimate leaf, with the final blank (slight worming in upper inner corners tapering to one wormhole ending at 3F3 and with slight damage to text, browning to a greater or lesser extent throughout, short tear at head of title), contemporary blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards (slightly worn, lacks clasps). Provenance : partial index in a contemporary hand written on the verso of the final blank; F. van de Velde (signature on endpaper, dated 1804). Probably the second edition of Luther's table-talk, collected over a four-year period and edited by J. Aurifaber. It covers a wide variety of subjects, both theological and lay, and includes chapters on Jews and Turks. Not in Adams; this edition not in BMC; cf. Brunet III, 1243.
