Lot consists of (A) Koto wakizashi with 38.8cm blade with ko midare hamon and ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana, two character signature "Mori Nori". The blade, wide, with itame hada. In shirasaya. CONDITION: Blade mostly in polish, nakago with excellent look. Temper is difficult to see towards point on omotae. Microscopic damage to extreme of point. Shirasaya in good condition missing koiguchi. (B) Tanto with 25.6cm blade. Midare hamon with ashi. Hada appears to be mokumei. Nakago is ubu with one mekugi-ana. Shakudo ishimei fuchikashira with gilt bees. Shakudo and gilt menuki with hats. Moko form tsuba with gilt details. Copper habaki. Roiro lacquer scabbard. CONDITION: Blade is clean with one microchip approximately 1 - 1/2" from boshi. Boshi itself with extremely minor mark. No real flaws, tang is clean, shin shinto. String wrapped handle in good condition. Lacquer damage on scabbard. Kozuka missing. An attracitve hira zukuri shinshinto tanto.
