Lot consists of: (A) World War I Liberty Loan Poster. The poster depicts a German U-Boat surrendering to a US Navy destroyer and has the message "They Kept The Sea Lanes Open Invest In The Victory Liberty Loan". CONDITION: The poster still has very vibrant colors for its age but is suffering from several condition issues. Two out of four corners are gone and the poster has several tears. It appears to have been glued on a thick poster board. Poster measures 29 - 1/4" x 39" Overall fair condition. (B) World War I US Marines Enlistment Poster. The poster depicts the message "U.S. Marines Service on Land and Sea Enlist At" and shows a Marine marching in front of a battleship. CONDITION: This poster also has vibrant colors for its age. The top right corner has been torn off and there are several smaller tears throughout the poster. there is water damage at the bottom edges of the poster. This poster has also been glued to a thick poster board. Poster Measures 39 - 1/4" x 29 - 1/2" Overall fair condition. (C) World War I framed US Marines Recruitment Poster. The poster depicts the message "U.S. Marines Want You Apply At" with a Marine Corps Sergeant pointing at the viewer. CONDITION: The poster is in a wood frame that is in rough condition. The poster appears to have been glued on wood and displays various creases, cracks, and rips. The colors are still attractive for its age. Poster Measures 27 - 5/8" x 21 - 3/4" Overall fair condition. (D) World War II US Army Ordnance Department poster. The poster contains the message "Let's Give Him Enough and On Time" with a US Army infantryman firing a water cooled .30 caliber machine gun. The lower left corner has the US Government Printing Office mark and the lower right corner has the US Ordnance Department mark. 28 - 1/2" x 40" CONDITION: This poster still has all of its corners but there are several pin holes in each corner. The colors have faded over time and there are several creases and tears from storage. This poster has also been glued on thick poster board. Overall fair condition. (E) Framed color photograph poster of the flag raising at Iwo Jima. The photo was signed by approximately 21 World War II Marines and Sailors. These signatures include men from the 4th Marine Division, the 5th Marine Division, and 5th Pioneer Battalion. This would be a wonderful research project. Poster measures 20 - 1/8" x 16 - 1/4" CONDITION: Poster shows creasing and water damage but the signatures are undisturbed. Overall good condition. JD Item Dimensions: Largest: 39 - 1/4" x 29 - 1/2".
