Brass mounted leather scabbard unmarked with strap retention style frog fixture on throat. 2) 1855 Pattern Saber bayonet for Harpers Ferry Model 1855 Rifles. 21.5" semi-Yataghan blade, 26.5" in overall length. 5" brass hilt with 17 grooves. Blade marked US on reverse ricasso, steel reinforcement pin in guard at blade junction. Scabbard fine with some light surface marks and minor scuffing. 2) Very good. Blade lightly oxidized with scattered surface discoloration and light age staining. There is some minor surface roughness and etching around the ricasso and first few inches of the blade. Hilt with a pleasing bronze patina. Locking latch complete and functional. 3) About fine. Blade with a bright pewter patina showing scattered surface discoloration and lightly freckled oxidized age staining. Hilt with a pleasing mustard patina. Locking latch complete and functional. 4) Very good. Blade with an attractive lightly oxidized brownish-gray patina. Tip of blade slightly rounded. Hilt with a pleasing mustard patina.
