Lot consists of: (A) American circa 1775-1783 24 hole Militia waist box. For a similar example, see page 26 of "Battle Weapons of the American Revolution" by George C. Neumann. This example has a flap with rounded corner and an iron clasp, wooden .69 caliber block with contoured back, and two leather belt loops on back. CONDITION: Leather is pliable with some cracking and losses to surface on front flap, a couple minor tears. Belt loops both original, one detached at top. (B) American waist cartridge box with 24 holes, circa 1780-1820. For a similar example, see page 24 of "Battle Weapons of the American Revolution" by George C. Neumann. Contoured shape and approximately .75 caliber block of 24 tin cylinders. CONDITION: Leather is still pliable, but brittle, showing crazing, losses to surface and some minor losses at corners.
