Long Georgian Double Strand Gold and Amethyst Pendant-Necklace The stylized maltese cross pendant of delicate cannetille goldwork, highlighted by 5 oval amethysts, quartered and tipped by 8 oval amethysts, topped by a stylized crown motif centering one pear-shaped amethyst, accented by 7 round amethysts, completed by a double strand delicate floret muff chain necklace completed by a tricolor gold hand clasp, circa 1830, pendant detachable, approximately 56.4 dwts. Amethysts: bright medium lavender-purple, cleanish to slightly included, backed by gold, several with minor nicks and chips on table edges, only one visible to eye, lively. Good condition. Normal wear. Pendant 2 3/8 x 2 inches.
