First edition, first issue of the Acting Edition (with author's name misspelled on front wrapper). 8vo. (ii), 77, (i) (ads) pp. Inscribed by Williams on half-title: "To Norman-I wish it/were half as bright/as the day/Tennessee." Original limp blue printed wrappers; all edges trimmed. Together with: The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone New York: A New Directions Book, (1950). First and limited edition, one of 500 copies, signed by Williams. 8vo. (x), 148, (4) pp. Original quarter cream cloth over patterned paper-covered boards, stamped in gilt; top edge stained blue, other edges trimmed; in original blue slip case, slightly worn and soiled.
