(8 3/4 x 5 9/16 in.), a single bifolium, each page of text printed within double-rule border, disbound, central fold neatly strengthened with mulberry paper, extreme edges lightly browned. "...WITH MALICE TOWARD NONE...": THE STREETER-SONNEBORN COPY OF A RARE PRINTING OF LINCOLN'S CELEBRATED SECOND INAUGURAL ADDRESS It is likely that this printing of Lincoln's historic address was issued in Washington, D.C. at about the time it was delivered by the President from the Capitol steps on 4 March 1865. The present copy is apparently the only one which has appeared at auction since 1970, according to American Book Prices Current . Provenance : 1. Thomas Winthrop Streeter (sale, Part III, Parke-Bernet, 25 October 1967, lot 1755, illustrated), from Goodspeeds, 1963 2. Harry J. Sonneborn, bookplate (sale, Sotheby Parke-Bernet, 5 June 1980, lot 27, illustrated).
