Unknown second edition, published with new title and without the illustrated text. With large woodcut title-border, 25 engraved charts (all but one double-page). The nautical atlas is "A translation of Pieter Goos's pilot guide of the Mediterranean, first publ. in 1662. The plates have been copied from the 25 charts in Goos's Straets-Boeck" (Koeman). "Levanto's chart (of Cyprus) was reproduced by Coronelli, through whose publications it became widely known" (Navari). - The charts are mounted on real strong paper, somewhat faint in print and with plate dirt in places, all but 9 at lower margin cut to the edge of the image, small wormhole to inner fold of 5 charts, small worming to image of 1 chart, small scraping mark to 2 charts, paste-down renewed. Bound in contemporary vellum with ties, gilt fillet borders and gilt coat of arms to both covers, spine renewed to style, staining and rubbing.
