Letters of guidance sent by Rebbe Aharon Roth to two students of his study group in Jerusalem. [1930s?]. The two letters were written on both sides of one page to his students Rabbi David and Rabbi Avraham Groiman. In the letter to Rabbi David he writes "…a suggestion I can give you is to go to the Kotel, complete Tehilim there and beg with tears…". The holy Rebbe Ahraleh Roth (1894-1947, Chassidic Encyclopedia Volume 1, 175-178), was born in Uzhhorod, learned in the Yeshiva of Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein in Vitzen. He was a chassid and student of the Rebbes of Blozhov and Belz, and a servant of Hashem with much self-sacrifice. He founded study groups based on being a servent of Hashem with self-sacrifice in Budapest and in Satmar, calling themselves "Shomer Emunim". He came to Jerusalem in 1925 where he established these study groups of being a servant of Hashem in the Chassidic way. In the years 1930-1939 he returned to his study groups in the city of Satmar and then to Bergses. During this time he was still in correspondence with his Chassidim in Eretz Israel – and so it appears that this letter is of that period. In 1939 he returned to Jerusalem and re-established his study groups which are still in practice today in Chassidic sects such as "Toldot Aharon", "Shomrei Emunim" and "Toldot Avraham Yitzchak". His books were printed many times over: "Taharat HaKodesh", "Shulchan HaTahor", "Shomer Emunim"(see lot #362 a copy of the book with glosses in his handwriting), "Mevakshei Emunah" and more. 2 pages. 20 cm. Over 30 lines of his Holy handwriting and his signature. Fair condition. Water Stains. Folding marks.
