Letter handwritten an signed by Rebbe Yisrael David Halevi Epstein of Ożarów. Ostrowiec, 1930. The letter was sent to the "Vaad Hakollel Kupat Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes" in Eretz Israel, regarding charity and requesting assistance in obtaining an entrance certificate for Rebbetzin Rachel Dina Frumer, daughter of R. Leibel Sochaczewski (1863-1952, Jerusalem). Rebbe Yisrael David Halevi Epstein (1904-perished during the Holocaust) was the son of Rebbe Avraham Shlomo of Ożarów (1864-1917), and the younger brother of Rebbe Moshe Yechiel, author of "Eish Das" (1890-1931). During his youth, he edited the "Shaarei Chochma" Torah anthology (Ożarów, 1924). After his marriage with the daughter of the rabbi of Stoczek he lived in Ostrowiec, where he served as rebbe.
