Title: Letter from Jack London to his wife Charmian London, regarding her medical issues and other matters Author: London, Jack Place: No placce Publisher: Date: Oct. 14, 1912 Description: Autograph letter signed by Jack London. 3 pages, on three half-sheets of notepaper. Jack London writes to Charmian and consoles here about her ongoing medical issues (later that month she was to undergo a hemorrhoid operation and corrective female surgery). "Now don't be sad, nor downcast. Everything is all right - barring the two doctors who took our money and did not deliver the goods. But everything is all right for you and me and ours that is to be. We have been patient and we will have our heart's desire..." This seems in obvious reference to their thwarted desire for children. He goes on to discuss his activities, "am going now to play pedro with George & Carl," and other matters. Lot Amendments Condition: Browning to paper, some creasing, pinholes in upper left; very good. Item number: 266811
