The letter mentions their meeting"in the village of Gei Oni called Rosh Pina"; they apologize to the Baron Rothschild and renege on their agreement saying that they decided to prohibit the establishment of schools [of enlightenment] -"because we are inhabitants of the county of our forefathers we wish to only study G-D's Torah which is all that our soul desires, and for this purpose alone our Yeshiva was founded to reinforce our faith and not to teach any foreign studies". 37.5 cm. leaf.
