Le Tellier’s library consisted of manuscripts, maps, and prints, as well as an extensive collection of travel literature, much of it relating to the Americas and New France. It's thought that the library was formed with the intention of creating a bibliography of travel literature. Evidently the sale was postponed: an issue dated 4 March 1782 is known. Sabin 40243.
