Scenes include a man standing at the entrance to Davis Brothers Hay, Coal, & Lumber in Grand Rapids, MI with a horse-drawn wagon at right; an early automobile and a group of three buggies parked in front of a brick building in Phoenix, AZ; and the distribution facility of the College Heights Orange and Lemon Association, with "Athlete Brand / Packing House and Precooling Plant / College Heights O. and L. Assn. Claremont - Calif." written in the negative, credited to Wright M. Pierce, Claremont, CA. Of particular note is an albumen photograph of the P.J. Kromer tinsmith shop in Doyleston, PA. The two-story brick building is marked by decorative cornices, dentil molding, and a large teapot-shaped lightning rod on top of the roof. Several men, two children, and a dog pose before the entryway, with a woman and three small children visible on the stoop of the neighboring structure.
