Large group of western ephemera, including: 4.25 x 7 in. card with two watercolors (winter & summer). On back, "Obert Sundet." With note that Sundet carved Calamity Jane's gravestone. Small painting of William "Wild Bill" Hickok "From an Old Photograph." On 6.5 x 7.75 in. light card. Cover letter on letterhead of The Long Chance Saloon, Jerome & Woodruff, Helper, Utah. Dated 4-9-1908. Frank Jerome says he is including a bill of lading, and requesting information on availability of bar fixtures since they are thinking of opening a new location in addition to the one they have. Miscellaneous receipts: one for Clocks, silver, books, etc.; another for collar and harness repair at a saddlery;' an announcement about an opening of a restaurant at "South street four doors east of Mill street," no city specified. Maybe someone knows where these two streets intersect. A cartoon story (graphic short story??) from Harper's New Monthly Magazine, 4pp, with 8 panels per page. Vol. XVII, No. 102. (Vol. 17 was June to Nov. 1858). Vanity Fair, Vol. 4, No. 100, Nov. 23, 1861, pp. 227-238. Disbound from larger volume. Application for Isaac Dean for a Revolutionary War pension in the New York Mayor's Court, dated 27 June 1820. Ten-page disbound article from Ainslee's Magazine, "Notorious Criminals in Western Prisons" by Charles Ulrich. Pencil notation suggests this is from Oct. 1901. Tax form for M.M. Smith, Talledaga County, 1866. Stock certificate for the Cardigan Copper Company (Arizona), for 100 shares to B.H. Sutherland, 2 June 1917. Stock certificate for the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway Company, for 100 shares to S.M. Butler, 28 Jul 1898. Card with photos, fingerprints, other information on Lawrence Dougherty, "Wanted for Bank Robbery," with a $2000 reward offered by State Banker's Association. June 10th, 1925. Condition: Condition varies.
