Large Collection of Magicians’ Ephemera. Late nineteenth century—1960s. Over 100, subjects including F.E. Powell (throw card and more), souvenir and show programs of Horace Goldin, Carl Rosini, Dante, Roberta and Marion, Tommy Cooper, Billy O’Connor, Blackstone Sr. (signed) and others. Together with Blackstone Sr. courtesy pass, 1913 Kinoplastikon (early cinema) theatrical program, London Palladium program, Magic Circle Diamond Jubilee program (1965) with companion registrant’s portfolio with booklet on history of the Magic Circle, several music hall programs, complete five-volume set of Swift and Co.’s Thurston’s Book of Magic, Russell the Magician booklet, Chas. Carter program, Murray broadside, The Great Masoni signed 1944 card, Birmingham Hippodrome 1912 playbill, folio size Lee Grable’s “History is Important” book, Tampa greeting card, Rupert Howard 8 x 10” photo, Dr. Jaks foldout advertising piece, Klingsor (signed), a portfolio filled with Le Grand David illustrated postal covers of assorted sizes, all mailed to England, a collection of UK and US stage money of assorted sizes and dates, and many more.
